Rum Cocktails & Drinks

“There’s nought, no doubt, so much the spirit calms as rum and true religion.”
 ~ Lord Byron, Don Juan

The rum revolution is here

bottle

Rum equals fun, as the saying goes. It’s a matter of record that the old rum and coke type of frolic is being replaced by sheer admiration worldwide over the potential of rum as a spirit of sophistication.

Premium aged rum, such as our golden all-New Zealand rum, has acquired a deserved reputation in recent years for being a richly complex sipping rum with a depth of flavour akin to the finest whiskies and cognacs. This recognition by no means rules out our golden rum as a cocktail spirit – the classic Dark & Stormy would be all at sea without it.

Our white rum, young and fresh, is perfect for daiquiris, mojitos, and tiki-style drinks such as pina coladas and mai tais.

What distinguishes rum from other spirits is its versatility. It’s equally resplendent whether neat, matched with food, or mixed into a myriad of cocktails. Here’s a few of our favourites to get you started …
